On behalf of the team, I'm very happy to unveil Evening Rounds! Evening Rounds is a monthly evening speaker series profiling health care communications and social media campaigns, case studies and experts.

What started as informal gatherings of B.C.'s #hcsmca (or healthcare and social media) community on Twitter has grown into Evening Rounds, a regular speaker series designed to provide information, inspiration and connections around health communication in our province. Occuring the third Tuesday of every month, Evening Rounds event will feature an opportunity to network with fellow health communicators and professionals to start, followed by an expert speaker or panel talking about issues that affect and support communicating about health.

Whether it's connecting with a community on Facebook, fighting misinformation in the mainstream media, or taking direct action straight to policy makers -- Evening Rounds is designed to help us support each other in the issues we face everyday, and to help us effect change in the health system by being the most energized and supported communicators we can be.

Evening Rounds is really a community, a chance to connect face-to-face with peers that you see doing great work, but that you maybe don't get a chance to swap stories and share ideas with on a regular basis. We hope that we've built that chance and more; a night to get inspired, a place to connect and an opportunity to share. Plus it's at W2, there's food and drinks so you know it will be a little bit of fun, too.

Evening Rounds was conceived and is organized by a team of volunteers: Alissa Sadler, Sean Cranbury, and Daniel Hooker, and kindly sponsored by Signals Design Group and Providence Health Care. The events are produced in partnership W2 Community Media Arts.
